Description

The city in the gardens – a functional model of the city, which was able to meet the requirements for work, social and private function of the city. The model offered its residents comfortable living in a sufficient amount of greenery. At the same time, infrastructure, quality civic amenities and the availability of all modern services were supported without disrupting private housing. The photograph captures a view of the place where the working and social part of the city meets – the factory complex with the Labor Square, which provided the inhabitants of the city with daily necessities (1938, the author of the photograph is unknown).
