We are delighted to announce that the Bata Villa in Zlín has been included in the international Iconic Houses network, which brings together the most significant architectural buildings of the 20th century from around the world.
The Iconic Houses network connects houses, villas, and museums associated with key figures in architecture and design. The Bata Villa, built in 1908-1912 according to a design by architect Jan Kotera, has thus joined the ranks of architectural gems that not only have historical and cultural value, but are also an inspiration for the present.
This award confirms the uniqueness of the Bata Villa and its significance not only for Zlín and the Czech Republic, but also in an international context.
