Evening teas, social and cultural events regularly organized by the Thomas Bata Foundation, are entering their fourth season and once again offer a truly varied programme. Come and enjoy unique experiences in an inspiring environment, with exceptional guests and high-quality tea. Helena Sováková, Martin Moravec, and Musica Angelica will visit the Bata Villa.
The Thomas Bata Foundation continued the tradition of tea parties, which was started in the 1920s by Marie and Tomas Bata, in the fall of 2022, and the cultural program at the famous villa immediately became an integral part of social life in Zlín.
Every month, the Bata Villa hosts themed discussions, chamber concerts, and interesting lectures. What can you look forward to until the end of 2025?
On Thursday, 6 November, the Bata Villa will welcome Helena Sováková, an exceptional woman who spent more than twenty years in the Czech army, where she rose to the rank of colonel. Also in attendance will be experienced writer Martin Moravec, author of a new book that chronicles Helena Sováková’s life story. Warning: during the discussion, you may experience emotion, goosebumps, laughter, and stress relief.
On Tuesday, 16 December, the Bata Villa will resound with traditional Christmas carols performed by the fantastic musical duo Musica Angelica, consisting of singer Magdaléna Malaníková and harpist Lucie Anna Fajkusová. Come and enjoy the magical Advent atmosphere and get in the mood for Christmas.
ATTENTION! The October discussion with renowned sculptor Radim Hanke has been postponed to 5 February 2026, due to illness. Purchased tickets remain valid.
The capacity of the hall in the Bata Villa is limited, so it is necessary to purchase tickets in advance directly on the website www.nadacetomasebati.cz. The ticket price is CZK 149.
