As part of this year’s Bata Week Festival, we presented the so-called Young Men’s costume, which was a prestigious symbol of belonging for the Young Men, both to the Bata company and, of course, to other students.
The most famous costume for boys was a dark blue suit with gold insignia. An exact replica of this costume was sewn for us by the Zlín tailor MEJTA fashion, led by Mr. Jaroslav Mejta, based on period documents.
“This is a costume that represents tradition, honest craftsmanship, and respect for the history of our region. It was a wonderful opportunity to show that even today, hand sewing and craftsmanship have their place and value. Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage through our work,"said Jaroslav Mejta during the gala evening. And we would like to thank the entire MEJTA fashion team for their fantastic cooperation.
