Last week, the Bata Academy I kicked off, traditionally offering an introduction to five key Bata topics, which are chosen so that the course provides a balanced combination of historical context and practical ways to apply Bata legacy in today’s environment.
A few days later, its sequel, the Bata Academy II, has also been launched. This new course, primarily intended for graduates of the first course, further explores the themes of Bata philosophy in connection with the Bata Management System.
“Students have a unique opportunity to get to know Tomas Bata not only as a brilliant entrepreneur, philosopher, teacher, politician, builder, and pioneer, but also as an ordinary boy who managed to live his American dream in Moravia and inspired tens of thousands of colleagues, whose lives he changed,” says academy lecturer Gabriela Končitíková, who is also the director of the Thomas Bata Foundation.
