Baťa is back home. A new statue marks the birthplace of Zlín’s most famous citizen

A new statue of Tomáš Baťa was unveiled in Zlín to celebrate his 150th anniversary. It stands near the Municipal Theatre, exactly where Baťa’s birth house used to be. The sculptor, Radim Hanke, created the statue in a walking pose to show Baťa’s energy and movement. This event is a symbolic return of the great leader to his roots.
