Baťa architecture in Zlín uniquely connected different social classes, as directors' villas stood in close proximity to workers' houses. Although the grander residences of the bosses often had a strategic view of the city, the uniform brick style created a visual sense of equality and community. This functional urbanism remains a fascinating example of how social status and corporate hierarchy could be sensitively integrated into everyday housing.
