12.07.2025
On July 12, 1932, the founder of the empire, Tomáš Baťa, and his pilot, Jindřich Brouček, died in a tragic crash of a Junkers F.13 aircraft. The fatal morning flight to Möhlin, Switzerland, ended the life of the visionary who transformed Zlín into a global center of shoemaking. Even after 93 years, this event remains a powerful reminder and is still remembered at his grave and at the Tomáš Baťa Memorial.
